When Michael Jackson died, he left behind an unparalleled musical legacy.

But the pop icon, who died three years ago, was also known—for better or for worse—for his dedication to children's causes. And it turns out he envisioned the whole country setting aside a day to honor young people, just as they do mothers, fathers, veterans, momentous dates in history, etc.

In a recording exclusively obtained by E! News, Jackson can be heard discussing his wish for a national children's day with confidante Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, who is now running for congress in New Jersey on a platform that includes a proposal that, in his view, could help keep his late friend's dream alive.

"If there was a children's day when I was little...do you know what that would have meant for me?" Jackson told Boteach. "That would have meant so much to me, Shmuley."

"You would have said, 'Daddy, today's Children's Day, what are we doing for it?'" Boteach agreed.

Jackson envisioned children paying the kindnesses they received forward when grew up. "They complete the circle and take care of their father and their mother because [of] how they were treated when they were young," he mused. "Come on, what's more beautiful than that? I think that's beautiful. We need to bring back family."

Asked if he and his family would eat dinner together, Jackson replied, "Kind of, but it was on the go. 'Quick, go, quick, eat, run. I'll eat in the car, eat in the studio. Here's something, take the chili in the car with you'...My mother would make a big pot of it for all nine of us."

Jackson's now 82-year-old mother, Katherine, shares custody of his three children with their 34-year-old cousin T.J., Tito Jackson's son.

"Michael complained to me constantly that there is a Mother's Day and Father's Day, but no Children's Day," Boteach said in a statement. "It was my commitment to him to try to create one that led to my policy proposal for tax breaks for businesses that close on Sundays, so that families can spend time together...As Michael argued...giving time to your kids makes you even more successful."

Her dad may have been the undisputed King of Pop, but it looks like Paris Jackson is fast becoming a punk rock princess.

The 14-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson seems to have been experimenting with a new rock chick look of late.

Posting a snap of herself on her Twitter page, the teen stuck her tongue out at the camera as she showcased her new look.

With aqua green streaks running through her hair, Paris paired a Rolling Stones motif T-shirt with a pair of cobalt blue cut-off shorts.

But it was her accessories which really gave her the rocky edge, with the youngster opting for black and red arm adornments, spiked bracelets and ripped tights.

The new look was a far cry from Paris' usually preppy style, with her tending to step out in shorts, jeans and T-shirts.

The aspiring actress recently explained she is keen to get a tattoo in honour of her late father, who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009.

Paris is contemplating having the Roman numerals of Michael's August 29, 1958 birthday permanently etched onto her back so her dad will always be with her.

She tweeted: 'i kinda want to get August XXIX tatted on my back. (sic)'

Paris and her brothers Prince Michael, 15, and Blanket, 10, have been at the centre of family problems recently, with their grandmother Katherine temporarily losing guardianship of them after she went on an unannounced vacation to Arizona.

However, she had now been reinstated as their co-guardian, and will share care duties with her grandson Tito Joe 'T.J.' Jackson.

Die leibliche Mutter von Paris (14) und Prince Jackson (15) hat sich den Skandal rund um das Sorgerecht der Kinder und die Jackson-Familie, die in den letzten Wochen durch jede Menge Negativ-Schlagzeilen von sich reden machte, lange genug angeschaut. Auch wenn sie lange Zeit nur im Hintergrund agierte, macht Debbie Rowe (53) klar: „Ich habe euch im Auge!“.

Zwar erklärte sie sich am Donnerstag mit der neu geregelten Vormundschaftsverteilung einverstanden und reichte dementsprechende Dokumente bei den zuständigen Behörden ein, dennoch droht sie dem Jackson-Clan mit einer Intervention ihrerseits. Wenn sich die Lage wieder einmal zuspitzen sollte und sie das Wohl ihrer Kinder erneut gefährdet sehe, behalte sie sich ein Eingreifen vor, vermeldet TMZ: „Sollte die Regelung zwischen TJ Jackson und Katherine Jackson unvertretbar, unstabil, unsicher oder auf irgendeine Art und Weise nicht im besten Interesse der Kinder sein, wird Frau Rowe gerichtliche Schritte einleiten,“ erklärte Debbies juristischer Beistand vor dem Obersten Gericht in Los Angeles. Debbie Rowe hatte das Sorgerecht der beiden Kinder nach der Scheidung von Michael Jackson († 50) im Jahr 1999 komplett an den Sänger abgetreten und einen Vergleich von 8 Millionen Dollar ausgezahlt bekommen.

Die heute 53-Jährige erklärte, es sei stets in ihrem Sinne, dass es den Kindern gut ginge und sie in einem sicheren und gesunden Umfeld aufwüchsen.

CHICAGO, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- A Chicago-area man put the windshield of his car up for auction because it has a bird dropping he says looks like the late pop star Michael Jackson.

"One of two things will happen," said owner Brandon Tudor, an Oswego salesman and father of three. "It will go for an astronomical amount or I'll get nothing."

Tudor, 29, said he was driving along U.S. Highway 30 near Big Rock Wednesday when bird poop hit the windshield of his 1996 Cadillac Seville, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

He said he immediately saw a resemblance to the pop icon and it became more obvious "after it hardened."

"Everybody loves it," Tudor said. "There's not one person who's seen it that doesn't agree it looks like Michael Jackson."

The minimum starting bid for the windshield is set at $500 on eBay. Until the auction closes, Tudor is keeping the bird poop image covered in plastic to protect it from washing away and parking his car in a garage.

Michael Jackson "Bad 25": Spike Lee dreht Dokumentation

New York - Regisseur Spike Lee arbeitet an einem Film über Michael Jacksons "Bad". Es handelt sich um eine Dokumentation zu den Aufnahmen zum Kultalbum "Bad", das in diesem Jahr 25. Jubiläum feiert.

"Wir zeigen in dieser Dokumentation Bilder, die noch niemand jemals gesehen hat, Material, das Michael Jackson selber aufgenommen hat, sowie Backstage-Material", so Spike Lee über die "Bad"-Dokumentation. "Wir hatten kompletten Zugang zum Vermächntnis von Michael Jackson. Dabei fanden wir auch heraus, dass er 60 Demos für das 'Bad'-Album aufgenommen hat. Nur elf Songs haben es auf den Longplayer geschaft. Also haben wir eine Menge gehört, das war eine großartige Erfahrung."

Die Dokumentation hat noch keinen Titel, wird aber nach Angaben von "Billboard" in das Jubiläum des "Bad"-Albums eingebunden. Epic/Legacy Recordings plant in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Michael Jackson Estate die Jubiläums-Edition "Bad 25". Die Collection, die am 14. September erscheint, umfasst in der Deluxe-Edition drei CDs, zwei Sammler-Booklets und enthält die erste autorisierte DVD-Veröffentlichung eines Konzerts der "Bad Tour". Zudem erscheint Michael Jacksons "Bad 25" auch als Vinyl und als 2-CD-Boxset.

Regisseur Spike Lee wird außerdem Teil der Festivitäten zum Michael-Jackson-Geburtstag am 25. August in Brooklyn, New York, sein. Michael Jackson würde an diesem Tag 54 Jahre alt werden. "Dieses Jahr werden wir uns natürlich auf das Album 'Bad'-Album konhzentrieren und darauf, dass es 25-jähriges Jubiläum feiert, aber gleichzeitig werden wir auch sein Gesamtrepertoire spielen, einschließlich der Songs der Jackson 5 und der Jacksons", so Lee. Zu Lebzeiten war Michael Jackson mit Spike Lee befreundet.

Er make that her more punk rock side? Either way, we love Paris Jackson's look!

The 14-year-old went to the mall in Calabasas with her brothers Prince and Blanket on Sunday, and she wore torn shorts, Doc Martens, a Motley Crue t-shirt, plenty of eyeliner and spiky bracelets. We have a feeling Miley Cyrus would approve of this outfit, and Paris even re-tweeted the Disney starlet's comment after she debuted her shocking new haircut on Twitter last night. Maybe the teen queens will be BFFs someday?

While it's all about Paris these days, we couldn't help but notice something with Prince's skin. Is it possible that MJ's oldest son may have vitiligo? As you know, the late singer famously battled the disease, which causes a loss of brown pigment from areas of skin, resulting in irregular white patches. Apparently 30 percent of people with vitiligo have a family member with the disease, so though it's a very rare condition, it's possible that MJ may have passed it down to his oldest son:

Raymone Bain is Back!

Raymone Bain sued MJ on May 5, 2009, alleging that she and MJ signed a Personal Services Agreement that entitles her for the 10% of MJ's incomes from certain projects. The amount of money she claims exceeds 44 million dollars.

MJ's then lawyers filed for a dismissal 8 days before MJ died, claiming that Bain and MJ signed a document on December 27, 2007 that released the defendants from any such liability. After the tragical events the Judge entered a stay, the case could continue 5 months later.

Since then the Judge ruled in the MJ Esate's favour a couple of times, the last time he closed the case on June 8, 2012. Now Bain is back, as she filed for an appeal in the case on June 29, 2012!

She claims that her office received a letter from MJ on April 24, 2008, appr. 4 months after she has been terminated saying the followings:
"I have never terminated your services nor did I null and void any of your Agreements. I know nothing about a release form. I neither authorized or [sic] signed the same. Therefore, I am authorizing you to continue to communicate with Mr. Yakoob
regarding the Sultan [of Brunei]’s property in Las Vegas, and to continue your role as my General Manager and President/COO of The Michael Jackson Company."

Bain says that MJ was seriously interested in buying a permanent resident in Las Vegas at the time.

Furthermore she claims that this letter has been moved from her office by a consultant of The Michael Jackson Company LLC, and was returned only around July, 2010. On the top of that she says that the 2007 release does not seem to be signed by MJ.

On the grounds of the above new foundings, Bains wants the case to be re-opened. Unfortunately I couldn't find physical traces of the letter she mentioned.

By the way, Bain did not spend a single minute in prison. Her 90 days sentencing has been suspended, and she is on a 60 months probation period now. On the top of that she has to contribute 200 hours of community service, and pay her due taxes (over 200.000 dollars).

Interesting tidbits:
- Bain sat down with John Branca and Howard Weitzman in late 2009, when the Estate Administrators offered to settle her case. Bain insists that she would have been open to settle, however her lawyers advised her not to contact them.
- Bain has been invited to the Jackson Family event for the first anniversary of MJ's death.

Michael Jackson Asia Rights Co II.

Despite the efforts of the Estate of Michael Jackson, some brave people in the far Japan are still using MJ's image... illegally.
Trotz der Bemühungen der Nachlassverwaltung von Michael Jackson, benutzen einige mutige Menschen im fernen Japan noch MJ's "Markenbild" ... illegal.

The "Michael Jackson Asia Rights Co. Ltd." is still active, and coming up with new "surprises". Like a "Jackson family dinner" held sometime this July with the participation of guess who? Josehp Jackson and Dieter Wiesner. Only 50 people could attend the event, that had a special Neverland dinner amongst others.
