Letzter Akt im Justiz-Thriller

Los Angeles - Mehr als zwei Jahre nach Michael Jacksons Tod beginnt in dieser Woche der Prozess gegen den früheren Leibarzt des Popstars. Der Kardiologe Dr. Conrad Murray steht wegen fahrlässiger Tötung vor Gericht.

Auf diesen Tag haben Jackson-Fans und die Familie des «King of Pop» lange gewartet. Am Dienstag beginnt der vorerst letzte Akt in dem Justiz-Thriller um Michael Jacksons Tod. In dem Verfahren «People versus Conrad Murray» (Das Volk gegen C.M.) sitzt der Herzspezialist Dr. Conrad Murray in Los Angeles wegen fahrlässiger Tötung auf der Anklagebank. Gleich nach dem Tod des Popstars am 25. Juni 2009 war er ins Visier der Polizei geraten. t

Seither hat der Mediziner immer wieder seine Unschuld beteuert. Im Februar 2010, als erstmals Anklage erhoben wurde, und erneut im vergangenen Januar, als der Richter grünes Licht für den Prozess gab. «Euer Ehren, ich bin ein unschuldiger Mann», sagte der 58-Jährige damals. Auf die Anklage wegen fahrlässiger Tötung plädierte er mit «nicht schuldig».

Die Todesursache ist unumstritten. Nach dem amtlichen Befund der Obduktion führte eine «akute Vergiftung» mit dem Narkosemittel Propofol, dessen Wirkung durch Beruhigungsmittel noch verstärkt wurde, zum Herzversagen.

Murray hatte in Polizeiverhören eingeräumt, Jackson regelmäßig seine «Milch» gegeben zu haben. So nannte der Sänger das weißliche Betäubungsmittel, das ihm beim Einschlafen helfen sollte. Er habe versucht, Jackson von dem starken Mittel zu entwöhnen, doch der von Schlafstörungen geplagte Sänger habe ständig danach verlangt, verteidigte sich der Arzt. Murrays Anwälte legten in der Vergangenheit nahe, dass der Sänger ohne Wissen des Arztes selbst zu den Mitteln griff und so ums Leben kam.

Nach ihrer Darstellung war Jackson vor Beginn seiner in London geplanten Mega-Konzertserie erschöpft und kraftlos. Das will die Verteidigung den Juroren mit einem Video von Jacksons Kurzauftritt im März 2009 mit Sonnenbrille und eingefallenem Gesicht vor Journalisten und Fans in London vor Augen führen. Der Popstar wollte sein Comeback persönlich ankündigen, brachte aber nur wenige Sätze über die Lippen. Die Anklage will mit Videoaufnahmen von fetzigen Konzert-Proben wenige Wochen und Tage vor Jacksons Tod genau das Gegenteil beweisen.

Einen guten Monat hat der Richter für den Prozess veranschlagt. Sieben Männer und fünf Frauen im Alter von 32 bis 57 Jahren sollen als Juroren über Murrays Schicksal entscheiden. Die Hälfte von ihnen gab an, dass sie einmal Fans von Jacksons Musik waren. Ein Juror ist Afroamerikaner, fünf sind hispanischer Abstammung, die übrigen sechs sind weiß. Unter ihnen befindet sich ein Briefträger, ein Schulbusfahrer, ein Buchverkäufer und eine Marketing-Managerin. Im Falle eines Schuldspruchs drohen dem Arzt bis zu vier Jahre Haft.

Jacksons Familie dürfte dies nicht genug sein. Sie hatten von Anfang an auf eine schwerwiegendere Anklage wegen Totschlags gedrängt. «Er hat ihn umgebracht», wetterte die Mutter des Sängers, Katherine Jackson, über den Arzt. «Er hat nicht auf ihn aufgepasst.»

Die dominierende indische Filmindustrie vergütet derzeit die Rechteinhaber wie Komponisten, Songschreiber oder Musiker durch eine Einmalzahlung. Damit haben Kreative nur geringe Chancen, regelmäßig für den Einsatz ihrer Werke entlohnt zu werden. Aktuell gibt es nach Angaben von "Billboard" jedoch Debatten, diese seit einer Entscheidung des höchsten indischen Gerichtshofs 1977 betriebene Praxis zu modernisieren. Das damals enstandene Gesetz soll im Rahmen von Parlamentsdebatten mit Zusätzen versehen werden.

Michael Jackson saw salvation in dangerous drug

(AP) LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson was physically exhausted from a day of grueling rehearsals for his marathon 50-night comeback tour. But his nightly battle with insomnia had just begun. After showering and getting into bed, he called for his "milk," a powerful drug he had been using to escape into unconsciousness.

Jackson saw the anesthetic known as propofol as his salvation. On June 25, 2009, it became the King of Pop's death potion.

How he overdosed in his mansion on a drug intended for hospital use is at the center of the manslaughter trial this week of the doctor he hired to be his highly paid personal physician for the "This is It" tour.

Testimony about the drug is expected to dominate the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, a Houston cardiologist who has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The prosecution claims Murray was grossly negligent in giving Jackson propofol at home without proper lifesaving equipment available and then left the room long enough to find his patient not breathing when he returned.

His defense team claims the singer, desperate for sleep, swallowed an additional dose of the drug when his doctor was out of the room.

Getting to the truth of it will come down to sometimes technical testimony from an array of medical experts, pathologists and even the police officers and paramedics who inspected Murray's equipment in the bedroom where Jackson went into cardiac arrest.

The defense theory, based on evidence that a trace amount of propofol — .13 milligrams — was found in Jackson's stomach, may be a hard sell.

The drug is administered intravenously, usually during surgery. Scientific witnesses may be asked to explain how it could have gotten into his stomach. Some doctors say ingesting it orally is almost unheard of.

"It's an odd, on-the-edge defense theory," said Dr. Gil Tepper, chief of staff at Miracle Mile Medical Center in Los Angeles. "It would not put you to sleep and it would move through the system very rapidly, causing awful diarrhea."

There are few authoritative studies and few statistics on deaths caused by the drug. It remains uncertain if the judge will allow a Chilean doctor's study of students who voluntarily drank the drug or a study of pigs who received it rectally.

The prosecution has a key expert witness, as well as forensic experts from the Los Angeles County coroner's office who are considered at the top of the field.

The defense boasts an advantage in one of its lawyers, J. Michael Flanagan, who says he is the only California attorney ever to try a propofol death case.

Flanagan represented one of a pair of nurses charged with killing a cancer patient who died after propofol was allegedly given without proper authorization by an anesthesiologist. Flanagan's client was acquitted and the other nurse pleaded no contest to a lesser charge.

Abuse of the drug is said to occur among medical professionals but rarely among patients.

In anesthesia, propofol is known as something of a wonder drug. Tepper said it's ideal for short term procedures such as colonoscopies or cataract surgery. Patients report feeling energized when they come out of it and there is no grogginess.

"But it's absolutely not recommended as a sleep aid," said Tepper. "You would never reach restful sleep and you would have to have constant monitoring."

In a hospital setting, Tepper said the doctor would have heart and blood oxygenation monitors as well as surgical equipment to do intubation if the patient stops breathing. Witnesses have said no such equipment was in Jackson's bedroom.

"It's a very dangerous drug," said Dr. Mark Schlesinger, head of anesthesiology at Hackensack University Medical Hospital in New Jersey, who said he has administered it thousands of times in his 25-year career. "The difference between unconsciousness and no longer breathing is a very slim margin of safety."

In the hands of a trained anesthesiologist, he added: "It's a wonderful drug and a very safe drug. It's not the drug that kills somebody. It's the way it is used."

Murray was not the first doctor to give Jackson the drug as a sleep aid, although others have not been publicly named.

Jackson's reliance on propofol was first disclosed to The Associated Press days after Jackson's death. Cherilyn Lee, a nurse nutritionist who treated Jackson with vitamins, said he pleaded unsuccessfully with her to get the drug he knew as Diprivan. He said his doctor told him it was safe and he described falling asleep as soon as the drug dripped from an IV into his vein.

"I said, 'Michael, the only problem with you taking this medication,' and I had a chill in my body and tears in my eyes ... , "'You're going to take it and you're not going to wake up.'"

Lee, who said she treated him from January to April 2009, is on the trial witness list. She said she never saw Jackson use other drugs.

"He wasn't looking to get high or feel good and sedated from drugs," she said. "This was a person who was not on drugs. This was a person who was seeking help, desperately, to get some sleep, to get some rest."

Murray, who had been consulted by Jackson in his Las Vegas office, was promised $150,000 a month when he signed on as Jackson's personal physician six weeks before he died. He closed the doors of his offices there and in Houston to devote himself to the singer.

An autopsy report showed that Jackson was generally healthy, indicating his key problem was insomnia. Murray has told police he administered other drugs known as benzodiazepines, which are also used as sleep aids. But when they did not work, Jackson demanded propofol.

Murray told police he was trying to wean him from the drug and gave him a minimal dosage, then left the room for five minutes to use the bathroom. However, cell phone records suggest he was making phone calls for a longer time. His actions after he found Jackson not breathing are also central to the case.

In the two years since Jackson died, doctors have been known to refer to propofol as "The Michael Jackson drug." Some fear a backlash for its use.

Dr. Lawrence Koblinksy, head of forensic science at John Jay College in New York, said the situation of a famous man demanding propofol is an anomaly and should not cast doubt on its effectiveness in hospitals.

"If you have a drug that is wonderful, just because a celebrity dies doesn't mean you take it off the market," he said.

Die 12 Geschworenen (sowie 5 back-up Geschworene) für den am Dienstag beginnenden Prozess gegen Dr. Murray sind gestern aus einem Pool von 84 Kandidaten bestimmt worden. Unter den Hauptgeschworenen sind sieben Männer und fünf Frauen, davon sind fünf Personen, deren Herkunft als mexikanisch oder lateinamerikanisch angegeben war. Einer der Geschworenen ist African-American.

Am Donnerstag wurden einige Michael Jackson Fans aufgefordert, den Gerichtssaal zu verlassen, da sich Dr. Murray beschwert hatte, dass sie ihn böse anstarrten. Attorneys worry about a "CSI effect" in Conrad Murray's trial

(CNN) - Dr. Conrad Murray will be facing the jury in the death of Michael Jackson this week, but many attorneys are concerned that popular TV crime shows could have an impact on the outcome.

"Our show has impacted the culture, I guess you'd say to the point where people expect CSI type of evidence," Robert David Hall, who plays the coroner on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, said.

Many attorneys and real-life crime scene investigators agree with Hall.

"It is really frustration because it is unrealistic," Mary Hong, a senior forensic scientist in Orange County, CA, said.

While jurors are familiar with Hong's job description since shows like CSI became popular and even though they are usually riveted to her testimony, Hong says the shows has caused people to expect too much.

"I think they do understand that we do not have fancy cars to go out on the crime scene and we can't solve a case within hours," Hong said. "But, I think a lot of people feel what they see on TV is realistic."

The effect usually works to a defendant's advantage because jurors are reluctant to convict without clear scientific evidence. The effect can be seen as recently as the Casey Anthony trial, where juror Jennifer Ford said there wasn't enough physical evidence that a crime was committed.

The prosecution case against Murray will include crime scene evidence taken from Michael Jackson's bedroom and testimony from the coroner, but jurors are probably not going to see any evidence that clearly establishes what caused Jackson's death.

MICHAEL Jackson’s children will go to court to face the man accused of killing their superstar dad.

The three youngsters have been put on the witness list for the trial of Dr Conrad Murray, which begins today.


Prince Michael, 14, Paris, 13, and nine-year-old Prince Michael II, could be asked to tell the story of their father’s final days with his personal physcian, who is accused of administering the lethal overdose which caused the King Of Pop’s death.


The youngsters may give key evidence as to how their dad was feeling and behaving before he died at his rented Los Angeles mansion in June 2009.

Jackson’s pop star sister Janet, 45, and parents Katherine, 81, and Joe Jackson, 83, could also give evidence.


One source said: “Many medical evidence experts and colleagues of Jackson are expected to testify.


“It is possible that one or more of Jackson’s children will take the stand too.


“This jury is expected to spend about five weeks hearing testimony about Michael Jackson’s final days.”


The long-awaited trial can finally get under way after the judge pain-stakingly selected 12 people for the jury.


Around 140 potential ­jurors were given a 32-page questionnaire gauging their views of the controversial star.


They were crucially asked whether their doctor had ever refused them medication, a central issue in the trial.


Dr Murray has denied giving a lethal dose of the powerful anaesthetic Pro­pofol to the Thriller star, who used the drug to help him sleep.


The doctor’s legal team claim Jackson died after “topping up” with illicit supplies of the drug he had stashed in his master bedroom.


Dr Murray faces four years in prison if he is convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Those who have been eager to follow the upcoming manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, charged in the death of superstar Michael Jackson, may be disappointed at what they don’t hear. The judge in the case, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor, has already issued a string of rulings that greatly limit what kind of testimony will be allowed. Judge Pastor knows all about celebrity trials, and he’s not intimidated by tabloid-driven, saturation-media coverage. In other words, Judge Lance Ito he’s not.

Am Dienstag beginnt der Prozess gegen Dr. Conrad Murray. Für die Staatsanwaltschaft steht fest: Er ist Schuld an Michael Jacksons Tod. Das zu beweisen, dürfte jedoch schwierig werden. Denn der Arzt war verstrickt in ein System aus Schulden und Abhängigkeit. Von Jens Maier

Er könnte in die Geschichtsbücher eingehen. Zwar wird er nicht in einem Atemzug mit Lee Harvey Oswald, dem mutmaßlichen Mörder von John F. Kennedy, oder mit Mark David Chapman, dem Killer von John Lennon, genannt werden. Denn Vorsatz war bei Dr. Conrad Murray wohl nicht im Spiel. Aber dennoch könnte es bald über den Arzt aus Texas heißen, dass er den größten Popstar aller Zeiten auf dem Gewissen hat: Dr. Conrad Murray wird beschuldigt, Michael Jackson getötet zu haben.

Mehr als zwei Jahre nach Jacksons Tod steht der ehemalige Leibarzt Jacksons jetzt wegen fahrlässiger Tötung vor Gericht. Am Dienstag beginnt in Los Angeles der Prozess mit den Eröffnungsplädoyers von Staatsanwaltschaft und Verteidigung. Da die vierwöchen Verhandlungen live im Fernsehen übertragen werden, wird mit einem riesigen medialen Interesse gerechnet. Der Murray-Prozess könnte in den USA der größte seit dem Freispruch von O.J. Simpson werden. Und der Ausgang scheint ebenso ungewiss.

Die Staatsanwaltschaft will beweisen, dass Murray Jackson fahrlässig getötet hat. Dass er dem chronisch schlaflosen Popstar jeden Tag - auch an seinem Todestag - Spritzen mit dem Narkosemittel Propofol verabreicht hat. Dass er ihn - als Jackson ins Koma fiel - nur stümperhaft medizinisch versorgt hat. Und dass er letztlich den Herzstillstand des 50-Jährigen herbeigeführt hat. Doch ist die Schuldfrage wirklich so klar? Der Tod des "King of Pop" eine logische Folge von Murrays Handeln - und damit eine Verurteilung des Arztes, dem bis zu vier Jahre Haft drohen, eine ausgemachte Sache?

Oberstaatsanwalt David Walgren verlässt sich in seiner Anklage vor allem auf medizinische Sachverständige: Sie sollen beweisen, dass kein verantwortungsvoll handelnder Arzt der Welt das Narkosemittel Propofol außerhalb eines Krankenhauses zum Einsatz gebracht hätte, schon gar nicht ohne die entsprechende Möglichkeit, die Herz- und Kreislauffunktionen des Patienten zu überwachen. Trotzdem wird es Walgren nicht einfach haben, die aus sieben Männern und fünf Frauen bestehende Jury ohne jeden Zweifel von der Schuld Murrays zu überzeugen.

Denn Murrays Verteidiger Ed Chernoff bestreitet gar nicht, dass die Behandlung unangemessen war. Seine Strategie baut einzig und allein auf eine Theorie: Murray sah sich gezwungen, all das zu tun, um seinen Boss glücklich zu machen, auch wenn dies medizinisch nicht geboten war.

Murray war finanziell von Jackson abhängig

Jackson und Murray sollen sich 2006 in Las Vegas kennengelernt haben, als der "King Of Pop", der sich gerne in der Spielerstadt aufhält, einen Arzt für seine Kinder braucht. Aus den beiden werden Freunde. Und als Jackson 2009 einen Arzt sucht, der ihn auf seine "This-Is-It"-Tour vorbereiten sollte, fällt seine Wahl auf Murray. Gegen den Willen des Jackson-Clans und des Konzertveranstalters AEG setzt Jackson den Kardiologen als Leibarzt durch. Für diesen ist der Jackson-Auftrag die Rettung aus seinem finanziellen Chaos. 150.000 Dollar Gehalt soll er monatlich bezogen haben.

Doch offenbar reicht auch dieses Geld nicht aus, um seine finanziellen Schwierigkeiten zu lösen. Der Schuldenberg wächst weiter. Murray ist von Michael Jackson finanziell abhängig geworden. Will er nicht, dass sein Gebilde aus Verbindlichkeiten zusammenbrach, muss er seinen Auftraggeber bei Laune halten. Blieb ihm am Ende also gar nichts anderes übrig, als den um Propofol bettelnden Jackson seinen Wunsch zu erfüllen?

Diese Frage könnte der Dreh- und Angelpunkt des gesamten Prozesses werden. Murray hat in der Öffentlichkeit bislang zu den Vorwürfen geschwiegen. Kinder von Michael Jackson sprechen erstmals über seinen Tod

Werden ihre zarten Seelen das überstehen? Die beiden ältesten Kinder des 2009 verstorbenen "King of Pop" wollen unbedingt vor Gericht über den Todestag ihres berühmten Vaters sprechen. Ihr Großmutter Katherine hält das für gar keine gute Idee.



Als er am vergangenen Wochenende in Berlin über den Roten Teppich schritt, lief vielen ein Schauer über den Rücken. Da war er, Prince Michael Junior, der 14-jährige Sohn von Michael Jackson. Anlässlich des zehnten “Tribute to Bambi” war er in die Hauptstadt gekommen und hatte wertvolle Geschenke seiner Familie im Gepäck. Noch wirkt der junge Mann schüchtern. Ähnlichkeiten zu seinem Vater werden nur durch seine Kleidung gewahr. Nach Jahren in der Isolation lernt Prince gerade langsam mit den Medien umzugehen.

Jetzt wollen er und seine ein Jahr jüngere Schwester Paris einen für sie offenbar entscheidenden Schritt in der Verarbeitung ihres tragischen Verlustes gehen. Die beiden Teenager haben vor im Gerichtsprozess um Dr. Conrad Murray, dem einstigen Leibarzt des verstorbenen Superstars in den Zeugenstand zu treten.

Doch die Großmutter der beiden, die seit dem schrecklichen Ereignis im Juni 2009 für die insgesamt drei Geschwister sorgt, ist ganz und gar nicht begeistert. Gegenüber dem Magazin “RadarOnline.com” erklärte hierzu ein Nahestehender der Familie: “Katherine widerstrebt diesem Vorgehen, weil sie weiß, wie traumatisch es für sie wäre

Aber sowohl Prince Michael als auch Paris haben gesagt, dass sie den Geschworenen erzählen wollen, was sie an dem Tag, an dem ihr Vater starb, gesehen haben.” Und weiter: “Die Kinder möchten nicht, dass das Andenken ihres Vaters durch dieses Verfahren in den Dreck gezogen wird, und sie glauben, dass ihre Zeugenaussage helfen wird, Dr. Murray zu verurteilen.”

Inwieweit die Aussagen der beiden allerdings zu einer Verurteilung des Arztes, der nach Angaben eines anwesenden Notarztes schwere Fehler begangen haben soll, zu einer Verurteilung beitragen könnten ist fraglich. Ein weiterer, nicht näher genannter Insider befürchtet: “Prince und Paris haben Dr. Murray angehimmelt und dachten, dass er ihrem Vater von Gott gesandt wurde.” Erst nach dem Tod ihres Vaters hätten sie sich eine nachträgliche Meinung von ihm geformt. Sowohl Prince als auch Paris könnten im Zeugenstand sogar Beweise für die Unschuld des Arztes liefern.

Country Coroner`s office an 4 verschiedenen Gelegenheiten versuchte Murray zu erreichen, er aber nie zurückrief wurde vom Richter abgelehnt........Der Antrag der Verteidigung zu zeigen die TII-PK vom März wurde abgelehnt. Michael Jackson death: Judge rejects bid to show video



A day before opening statements in the trial of Michael Jackson’s personal physician, a judge ruled jurors will not see video of the pop star’s final news conference.

Lawyers for Dr. Conrad Murray had argued that the footage showed Jackson “under the influence” in public three months before his death and that it established the singer had agreed to a comeback concert series of just 10 “This Is It” shows and not the 50 ultimately scheduled.

But Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor noted Jackson never mentioned the number of shows in the video and said that it was irrelevant to how he died, the issue at Murray’s trial.

“The proposed evidence is not relevant to what may or may not have happened on June 25, 2009, or shortly beforehand,” Pastor said.
The judge also ruled that prosecutors cannot tell jurors that investigators made four unsuccessful attempts to re-interview Murray.

The physician and his lawyer met with police for a lengthy interview two days after Jackson died, but an e-mail and phone calls to the attorney and Murray’s office were not returned.

Pastor said it was not clear whether Murray ever received the requests.

The 58-year-old cardiologist faces four years in prison and the possible loss of his medical license if convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Prosecutors contend he grossly violated medical norms by providing Jackson with propofol, a surgical anesthetic, at his home.

The defense maintains Jackson dosed himself.

Michael Jackson's two eldest children want to testify at Dr. Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial.

Prince Michael, 14, and Paris, 13, are determined to give evidence against the physician - who has been accused of administering the lethal dose of the anaesthetic Propofol that killed Michael in 2009 - even though their grandmother Katherine thinks it is a bad idea.

A source close to the Jackson family told RadarOnline.com: "Katherine is resisting the move, because she knows how traumatic it would be for them, but both Prince Michael and Paris have said they want to tell the jury what they saw on the day their father died.

"Prince and Paris are determined to take the stand, though. Ultimately, I don't believe Katherine will deny them that chance, even though she doesn't want them to and has told them so. The kids have said they don't want their father's legacy to be tarnished by the trial and they believe their evidence will help convict Dr. Murray."

However, even if Prince Michael and Paris are allowed to testify, both Katherine and Michael's sister LaToya Jackson have agreed that their younger brother 'Blanket', 10, is too young.

The source added: "Both LaToya and Katherine agree, however, that Blanket should not testify as he is too young."

However, a second source close to the Jackson family is worried that the children's formerly close relationship with the doctor could save him from conviction.

The source said: "Prince and Paris adored Dr. Murray and thought he was a God send for their father. It was only after their father's death that they formed a subsequent opinion of him. Both Prince and Paris could take the stand and wind up providing evidence which supports the doctor.

"Prince and Paris knew their dad relied on Dr. Murray to survive and knew their father adored him. Their comments could save him from jail because it would work well in the eyes of a jury." - Bang Showbiz

Jury to Get Overview of Case Against Jackson Doc

The trial of the doctor charged in Michael Jackson's death opens with a bit of star power and the one thing the King of Pop enjoyed throughout his life — a worldwide audience.

Prosecutors plan to call the superstar's friend and choreographer, Kenny Ortega, as their first witness in the case, which enters a crucial final act Tuesday with opening statements and the start of testimony.

Authorities contend Dr. Conrad Murray, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter, administered a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol along with other sedatives, and lacked the proper lifesaving equipment to revive Jackson in June 2009.

The defense says Murray was Jackson's friend, a capable protector of the singer's health, prepared to travel with him to Europe, and is still mourning the death.

Michael Jackson's eldest son Prince -- an eyewitness to the horrific scene in the bedroom where his father lost his life -- does not want to testify in the Conrad Murray trial, but he's telling family he'll do what needs to be done to get justice for his departed dad.

Sources close to Prince tell TMZ ... the 14-year-old is "nervous" and worried that if he's called to the stand he might get flustered and "mess up."

We're told if Prince is called by prosecutors ... Katherine will ask her lawyers to request that the entire courtroom be cleared during his testimony. Judge Michael Pastor almost certainly will prohibit the media from training a camera on Prince, but it's unlikely he'll clear the courtroom.

As we previously reported, Prince is on the prosecution's witness list, since Dr. Murray summoned Prince to the bedroom for help during the emergency. When Prince arrived, he dissolved into tears.

The trial starts today. We'll be livestreaming opening statements.
