Die Verteidigung hat den Test durch ein Privatlabor angeordnet und schloss das es ein Equivalent von 8 Lorazepan-Pillen in MJ`s Magen gibt.

Aber die Staatsanwaltschaft hat den Test nachprüfen lassen durch Anderson/ die Resultate zeigen den Gehalt vom Medikament und ihrer Metabolite

Es gib eine Diskrepanz zwischen den Resultaten auf beiden Seiten. Zudem hatte Anderson ausgesagt er könnte nicht den Metabolitengehalt des Mediakmentes testen.

Testimony had been canceled on Monday so that the prosecution's final witness, Dr. Steven Shafer, could deal with family affairs after his father died last week.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor agreed to delay the case against Dr. Conrad Murray for another day after defense attorneys said they needed time to prepare for how to deal with testing the coroner's office conducted last week on the level of the sedative lorazepam in Jackson's system.

Murray's attorneys have suggested that authorities ignored the effects lorazapam may have had on the pop superstar and said their own testing suggested Jackson had taken eight pills before his death.

Coroner's officials determined Jackson died from a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol. Authorities contend Murray gave Jackson the fatal dose and other sedatives in the singer's bedroom to try to help him sleep. Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said the defense lab's results combine two numbers to make it seem like there was more lorazepam in Jackson's system than may have been present. He said the coroner's tests show a much smaller amount was actually in Jackson's system and are inconsistent with the theory that he swallowed several pills.

Lead defense attorney Ed Chernoff said he had numerous questions about the coroner's testing and had asked the agency to conduct the same test before the trial began but was told it couldn't be done. He said he didn't yet know what impact it will have on how Murray's defense case is presented.

Defense attorneys are expected to begin calling their own witnesses, including experts, later this week.

Pastor agreed it was an issue that defense attorneys needed time to address. He ordered attorneys to give him an update at a hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Test results delay Jackson trial

The trial of Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray will resume on Wednesday.

Los Angeles Judge Michael Pastor ordered the delay so defence lawyers can get more details on test results that the coroner's office recently conducted. The tests dealt with the levels of the sedative lorazepam that were found in Jackson's body.

Murray's lawyers have raised the issue of lorazepam levels and told jurors that the amounts were so high they could have put several people to sleep.

Deputy District Attorney David Walgren told Judge Pastor that he asked for the coroner's office to re-test for lorazepam levels and found that they were lower than the defence analysis suggested.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

Michael Jackson: Prozess gegen Dr. Murray verzögert sich

Los Angeles. Der Prozess gegen Dr. Conrad Murray wird erst am Mittwoch, 19. Oktober, fortgeführt. Richter Michael Pastor ordnete an, dass die Verhandlung gegen den Leibarzt des im Juni 2009 verstorbenen Popstars nicht wie geplant heute, 17. Oktober, sondern erst übermorgen weitergehen soll.

Grund dafür ist ein Todesfall in der Familie von Dr. Steven Shafer, der heute seine Zeugenaussage hätte machen sollen.



Außerdem will der Richter aber auch den Anwälten ermöglichen, mehr Details der Ergebnisse eines Tests zu erhalten, die die Gerichtsmedizin kürzlich durchführte. Dabei ging es darum, wie viel Beruhigungsmittel Lorazepam sich in Jacksons Körper zum Zeitpunkt seines Todes befand. Murrays Anwälte wollen in ihrer Verteidigung nämlich anbringen, dass der King of Pop nicht an einer Überdosis des Schlafmittels Propofol, das ihm von seinem Leibarzt verabreicht wurde, sondern Lorazepem verstorben ist.

"Bei diesem Fall geht es nicht um Propofol, Michael Jackson ist nicht daran gestorben", erklärte ein enger Vertrauter von Dr. Murray gegenüber ‘RadarOnline’. "Er starb an einem extrem hohen Pegel von Lorazepam, das in seinem Körper festgestellt wurde."

Murray ist wegen fahrlässiger Tötung angeklagt und müsste für vier Jahre ins Gefängnis, sollte er schuldig gesprochen werden. (Bang)

Washington. Es sieht nicht gut aus für Dr. Conrad Murray. Der frühere Leibarzt von Michael Jackson gerät im Prozess immer mehr in die Defensive. Seine Verteidiger rudern weiter zurück - auch um sich selbst aus der Schusslinie zu bringen.

Im Prozess gegen den früheren Leibarzt von Popsänger Michael Jackson müssen sich jetzt die Verteidiger verteidigen. Richter Michael Pastor setzte das Verfahren vor dem Landgericht in Los Angeles gestern bis Mittwoch aus, nachdem die Staatsanwaltschaft einen zentralen Punkt der Anwälte von Dr. Conrad Murray zunichte machte. Wie berichtet, hatte Murray-Anwalt Ed Chernoff bereits zu Beginn des Verfahrens Ende September der Jury erklärt, Jacksons Tod am 25. Juni 2009 sei selbstverschuldet gewesen und gehe nicht, wie die Anklage behauptet, auf schweres Fehlverhalten Murrays zurück.

Der Künstler habe in der Nacht vor seinem Tod auf einen Schlag erst acht Tabletten des Schlafmittels Lorezapam genommen und sich dann, in Abwesenheit Dr. Murrays, eine Überdosis des Narkose-Präparates Propofol verabreicht; wahrscheinlich habe er es getrunken. Die Behauptung der oralen Einnahme des milchigen Propofols nahmen Chertoff und seine Kompagnon Michael Flanagan bereits Ende vergangener Woche ohne weitere Angaben von Gründen zurück.
Neue Untersuchungsergebnisse zu Michael Jacksons Blut

Als gestern die Anklage neue amtsärztliche Untersuchungsergebnisse über die chemische Zusammensetzung des Blutes und des Mageninhalts von Jackson vorlegte – Tenor: größere Konzentrationen des Schlafmittels Lorezapam wurden nicht gefunden – ruderten die Murray-Juristen erneut zurück. Sie verlangten nach einer Unterbrechung, um die Ergebnisse studieren zu können.

Den anfangs erhobenen Vorwurf, Staatsanwalt David Walgren spiele falsch, in dem er nachträgliche Resultate nachreiche, kassierten Chertoff und Murray kurz darauf auch ein. Am Mittwoch wird nun voraussichtlich der letzte Zeuge der Anklage gehört. Dr. Paul Shafer gilt als Propofol-Experte. Danach will die Verteidigung ihre Entlastungszeugen präsentieren, darunter ehemalige Patienten Murrays.

Dr. Conrad Murray's trial in connection with Michael Jackson's death will resume on Wednesday, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

Los Angeles Judge Michael Pastor made the announcement Monday morning at a hearing attended by the District Attorney and the cardiologist's lawyers; the jury wasn't present.

Today's session of the trial was canceled after the father of the prosecution's final witness died this weekend, but Judge Pastor ordered the delay of one more day so that Murray's defense team can get more details from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office test results of Lorazepam levels in Jackson's body at the time he died.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported Dr. Murray's lawyers are going to mount a defense based on the theory that Lorazepam killed Jackson, and not acute Propofol intoxication, as Jackson's cause of death.

"This case isn't about Propofol, Michael Jackson didn't die from that. He died because of an extremely high level of Lorazepam found in his body," a source close to Dr. Murray tells RadarOnline.com.

"The defense whole heartedly disagrees with the findings of the coroner that Michael Jackson died of acute Propofol intoxication. Michael Jackson's death certificate lists acute Propofol intoxication as the official cause of death, with other contributing factors of death: benzodiazepine effect. The benzodiazepine is Lorazepam," the source adds.

Dr. Mark Shafer, a prosecution expert witness about Propfol will resume his testimony on Wednesday morning.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
