I didn't notice you saying nitrogen. I say mercury because of the association with the Roman god Mercury, what with him being renowned for his speed and wearing a winged helmet. Also, he borrowed heavily from the Greek god Hermes, and we already have the Greece-Pegasopolis connection in canon.
