My point is you always attribute everything good to Linux and everything bad to Windows, whether or not that even makes sense. Maybe you got a version of Chromium with some modifications to enhance the base version, but if that's the case there's certainly a Windows version of it - and if that's the case, how do you know it doesn't have tracking software embedded that just reports to someone other than Google?

I've got it from the Ubuntu Software Center. And I'm telling ya, everything worked out of the box like a charm. But I've switched back to Firefox anyway. Chromium is all good and fast, but the interface is ugly as hell and I've been using Firefox for years now. I don't think that there can be a better browser for me.

Es ist Fakt, dass Linux deutlich sicherer ist als Windows. Selbst wenn es so wäre, dann wären die Windows Nutzer immer noch deutlich schlimmer dran. Denn solche Software wird grundsätzlich auf Windows ausgelegt weil sich da die breite Masse befindet.

So it is both, who cares... And yeah, they may have modded it (don't know about that) to work as good as possible on Ubuntu, but they clearly didn't pay any mind to the design. Just. Fucking. Ugly.

Idk what your interface is like, but I like how Chrome looks. Very minimalist, nothing except the search bar and tabs at the top and the rest of my screen space is 100% clutter-free.

The only ugly thing I see there is the sidebar, which I assume is an Ubuntu thing since Minecraft is on it.
