Not all jargon is that dreadful, and there is no harm in using a little, every often. But a lot of it is just a distortion of language - and that can only interfere with meaning.

Some cultures don't swear at all. The Japanese, Malayans, and most Polynesians and American Indians do not have native swear words. :lv:
But most cultures swear and have been doing so for a very long time. Manchester University studied swearing by Romans and found that they are 800 dirty words.
More than 1200 words just for sexual intercourse have been counted.

The word stay the same but the meaning changes.
Often the meaning becomes its opposite or something very like it.
Manufacture, from the Latin root for hand, once signified something made by hand, it is now virtually the opposite.
Polititician was originally a sinister word.
Garble once meant to sort out, not to mix up.
A harlot was once aa boy, and a girl in Chaucer's day was any young person,whether male or female.
Enthusiasm, which is now a word of praise, was once a term of mild abuse.

In Scotland the gowk or cuckoo is a symbol of a fool. The word cuckold also comes from cuckoo. That is, a fool of a married man who does not know his wife is unfaithful.

It's hard to make real friends among the German's. Their friendships often go back to schooldays. They keep their circle of friends very closed.

Maybe it is only an unfounded believe.
The emotion behind close friendship has a own psychology. Companionate love, does not literally contradict the theory of reciprocal altruism, but it does embody an elastic version in which the emotional guarantors - liking, sympathy, gratitude, and trust -are strechted to the limit.The facts of companionate love are clear enough, but why did it evolve?
Anyone can suffer a reversal of fortune, especially in a harsh life of a forager. Once abandoned, a stricken forager is not lon for that world.
One strategy is to make yourself irreplaceable. Another is the association with people who benefit from the things that benefit you. Merely by going about your life and pursuing your own interest, you can advance someone else's interests as a side effect...
