I think it is an interesting thread to practice the English language in an active way.
I often watch movies in English or read books in English, but it's a very passive way.

Thats right, its better to practice a language by using it, than only by reading it.

actually not, but to be honest it was really necessary once. At the moment i am working with german customers

I am a factory worker, so i dont have much contact to clients from abroad. But one day, an army of little japanese in black suits walked trough the factory, and i talked to one. It was very amusing to see those folks watching us working.

They where not allowed to take photos, because of our ,,factory secrets" :)

And of course i have been nice to them, since i had to represent our company in a good way. And yes, they do have a lot of money: They where from world famous company Yamaha.

One of my best friends in the world - an Englishman - denied that there is a tense called "past perfect" in English, he just answered - and I disregard(ed) that he is/was pissed - fu**ing Aussie-English!
