Honestly, the only thing that turns me off is the possibility of being assigned to be a "field" operator. The rest of that stuff sounds pretty much as I expected.

And again, still the whole basic training and physical training component is not something I'm interested in, so unless that requirement were suddenly relaxed it's a moot point - I'm not gonna do it.

I sit in a chair that absorbs thousands of my own farts every year, I don't personally see much of a difference if there are 2 or 3 other people who sit in the same chair when I'm off-duty. It's not like I'm going to be sniffing the chair. As long as no one sharts - or if they do, they wipe the chair down afterward - it'd be all good.

Good job security as long as you're fit to continue working, and as a drone pilot there's a negligible chance of suffering a disabling injury. Then you just stick it out for 20 or 30 years, retire in your 50s instead of your 60s like most people do, and get a pension and health insurance for the rest of your life.
