The closest thing they have to a military are the royal guards and maybe the wonderbolts who could serve as an air force. But that wouldn't help them at all, because we have the superior technology. It really is that simple. The one with better tech is the stronger one. We have jets that can fly at supersonic speeds and we have guided missiles... Sure, they could raise a shield like Shining Armor did during the siege of Canterlot, but if the changelings could break through that after a while, humans could do that in seconds.
