The Syrian Arab Army’s 104th Brigade of Republican Guard (Al-Harss Al-Jamhouri Al-Souri) overwhelmed Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) fighters in the northern Deir Ezzor village of Haweeja Sakr, destroying 3 vehicles loaded with doshkas and capturing an ISIS hideout. The 104th Brigade launched the military operation in this ISIS-controlled village on Tuesday morning, with the Syrian Air Force providing necessary assistance from the air, forestalling ISIS reinforcements from reaching the frontline.
On Tuesday night, the 104th Brigade had made considerable progress, capturing an ISIS control-and-command hideout inside the village. Scores of ISIS militants were killed during the fierce clashes, including 4 field commanders that were unable to flee the building. According to a military source, 33 ISIS fighters were confirmed killed in firefights yesterday, another 15 were captured by the 104th Brigade. In contrast, the Republican Guard suffered 9 casualties during the firefights, including 2 officers.

Glünggi schrieb:wenn man sich schon im Vorfeld gegenseitig bekriegt.Der bewaffnete Widerstand in Syrien wurde von Anfang an aus Moscheen, MB, salafistischen Kreisen beherrscht, säkulare Gruppen wurden schnell vereinamt, oder waren eh von Anfang an auf Stammesinteressen orientiert und vielmals kriminell und Situation ausnützend.
