Sagen wir es mal so, das Spiel wäre regulär nur noch Offline spielbar. Aber es gibt eine Gruppe von Spielern die Hosten den Masterserver, was vorher die Aufgabe von Gamespy war. Dadurch wurde das Online spielen am Leben gehalten. Aus den Laden Regalen ist das Spiel schon längst verschwunden. Und Fans haben ein komplettpaket geschnürrt, sodass man einfacher ins Spiel kommt und vorallem Online wieder dabei sein kann.
Weiss natürlich nicht wo Ihr das ganze jetzt für euch einordnet.
Aber ohne die Möglichkeit, würde keiner mehr das Spiel spielen können.
Würde mich freuen, wenn jemand von euch bei dem Event vorbei schaut?

Heute wollen wir euch den Battlegroup42 RC 2 Release Präsentieren, welcher gestern frisch auf (siehe hier): https://www.facebook.com/BattleGroup42-154526164586059/ eingeflogen, beziehungsweise veröffentlicht worden. Jetzt ist es endlich möglich Battlegroup42 wieder im COOP Modus zu spielen. Bereits vor ein paar Tagen wurde infolgedessen der Battlegroup42 Server auf Version RC 2 umgestellt. Es wurden einige Bugs und Fehler der vorigen Version RC1 behoben und der COOP Modus feingeschliffen. Doch damit nicht genug, es kommt noch neuer Inhalt mit obendrauf.

Neu mit hinzugekommen ist die Map "3912-Kunlun_Pass", die Map handelt von einer Schlacht, die um 1940 in Südchina stattfand. Die Japaner wollten die Nachschubwege der Chinesen durch Vietnam damit unterbinden, dabei kam es dann zu Auseinandersetzungen zwischen Chinesen und Japanern. Die Chinesen trommelten Ihre Panzereinheiten zusammen und fügten damit Japan eine große Niederlage zu.

Die Idee für diese Map entstand aus der Custom Map "Operation Rolling Barrage", welche widerum auf der "Battlefield Vietnam" Map "Fall of Lang Vei" basierte.













Unsere zweite neue Map spielt sich im Norden Europas zwischen Wäldern und Seen ab und heißt "4407-Battle_of_Ihantala", diese handelt von der Sommeroffensive 1944 der Sowjets gegen die Finnen.
Die Sowjets waren materiell und zahlenmäßig überlegen, konnten aber wochenlang daraus kein Kapital gegen die Finnen schlagen. Damals wurden die Finnen von schwedischen Freiwilligen und der deutschen Sturmgeschützabteilung unterstützt, dadurch war es möglich die Map mit deutscher Beteiligung gegen die Sowjets zu besetzen. Die "Ihantala" Map wurde ursprünglich von zara5ustra erstellt.

















Nun zur großen "Modellvorstellung Nummer 5",

diese waren schon zum Teil im vorigen Battlegroup42 RC1 Release enthalten, jedoch fanden diese bisher noch nicht nden weg in die Newsabteilung.

Da wäre zunächst der mittlere Bomber und Torpedowerfer Ilyushin, kurz IL-4. Dieser war 1941-1945 für die sowjetischen Luftstreitkräfte im Einsatz. Reichweite und hohe Traglast, machten dieses Fluggerät zur damaligen Zeit so besonders. Dafür gab es Defizite bei der Abwehrbewaffnung, welche das Flugzeug anfällig für die Bodenabwehr und Verfolger machte.Das Modell stammt von "ShaneT" und wurde – wie alle Modelle der heutigen News - von "Sarge31FR" für BattleGroup42 gecodet.



Das zweite Flugzeug von heute ist der gefürchtete und legndäre Jagdbomber "Republic P-47 Thunderbolt".
Es war eines von den größten und schwersten einmotorigen Flugmaschinen, die jemals gebaut wurden. Starke Leistung und technische Zuverlässigkeit machten es zu einem wichtigen Begleiter der US Airforce.
Bestückt war das Flugzeug mit acht 12,7mm MG, Bomben und Raketen. Ziel des Bombers waren Eisenbahnzüge, Armeekolonnen, Schiffe, Bahnhöfe, Brücken, Fabriken und andere Infrastruktureinrichtungen. Das neue wunderschön detaillierte Modell stellt eine P-47 in der D-Version mit „Razorback“ dar. Es wurde von "RuppDee" gestaltet und ersetzt die alte, eher schlichte P-47D mit „Bubble“-Cockpitdach.



Unser nächstes Modell vergrößert den sowjetischen Fuhrpark. Der Panzerspähwagen FAI-M modelliert von "Gauranga", welcher ab 1935 in Dienst gestellt wurde.
Einsatzgebiet war Europa und der Ferne Osten bis 1942. Er hat ein 7,62mm MG in einem Drehturm verbaut.
Damals galt er als nicht besonders geländegängig und war nur gegen Splitter und Handfeuerwaffen geschützt, war aber dennoch wegen seiner Zuverlässigkeit bei den sowjetischen Aufklärungseinheiten beliebt.
In BattleGroup42 findet sich der FAI-M künftig auf einigen frühen Maps, wo er gegen japanische und deutsche Gegenspieler antritt.



Jetzt hatten wir neue Karten, Flugzeuge und ein Fahrzeug, was fehlt noch? Ja, ein Schiff 1936 in Dienst gestellt.
Das große Frachtschiff "Ehrenfels" mit rund 11000 BRT, wurde vom Flottenspezialisten "Cabrio" erstellt.
Zu Kriegsbeginn fuhr die Ehrenfels in den Hafen von Goa und blieb dort bis 1943. Die Briten vermuteten, dass die Besatzung von Bord aus Informationen über den alliierten Schiffsverkehr in die Heimat funken würde, deshalb versuchte ein Kommando, das Schiff zu erobern. Der Ehrenfels Besatzung gelang es jedoch, ihr Schiff selber zu versenken und sich somit dem Zugriff der Briten zu entziehen.
Die Ehrenfels hatte noch acht Schwesterschiffe, die als Transporter, Tender und Hilfskreuzer in den Kriegsdienst gestellt wurden. Bis auf zwei dieser Schiffe wurden alle versenkt. In BattleGroup42 kommt die Ehrenfels in zwei Varianten vor: Als Handelsschiff ersetzt sie auf Maps mit deutschen Truppen den bisherigen Frachter. Schwer bewaffnet mit Kanonen und Torpedos ist dagegen die Hilfskreuzer-Version, die unter anderem auf der Objective-Map 4210-Wolfpack zu finden ist. Um die Waffen zu nutzen, müssen allerdings erst die Bordwände herunter geklappt werden.

Wahrscheinlich eine blöde Frage, aber sind die Server nur manchmal erreichbar oder permanent?
Ich hatte nämlich letztens keinen gefunden, kann aber auch daran liegen, dass ich mir das dazu nötige gar nicht installiert hab...bin nicht wirklich bewandert in Sachen Mods :D

richtig, dir fehlt nochwas, denke mal du hast die CD Version oder?

Dann brauchst du das Gamespy Server Finde Patch: http://team-simple.org/download/battlefield_1942_gamespy_patch_v1.61.exe damit musst du die alten dateien inklusive bf1942.exe überschreiben.

Das ganze fand gestern statt und ging von da an 2 Stunden. War gar nicht mal so einfach, da man einen krassen Nachteil durch den "Ping" hat. Ihr kennt das sicherlich von Übersee Servern? Wir kämpften im Coop Modus 38 inklusive 9 Spieler gegen 90 Bots. Da gabs einiges zu tun, denn man konnte gegen so eine gewaltige Masse von Soldaten fast nur verteidigen.
Aber egal, hauptsache wir konnten für euch 8 oder 9 Spieler von 11 ursprünglichen Spielern einfangen.

Was ist der Unabhängigkeitstag in Finnland? Worum geht es?

Finnland war von 1808 bis 1917 ein autonomes Großfürstentum und Teil des russischen Reiches. Die am 7. November gestartete Oktoberrevolution in Russland ermöglichte die Loslösung Finnlands von Russland. Der finnische Senatsführer Per Evind Svinhufvud verkündete am 6. Dezember Finnlands Unabhängigkeit. Die Unabhängigkeitserklärung war zuvor vom Parlament mit 100:88 Stimmen akzeptiert worden. Anders als dieses Abstimmungsergebnis verstehen lässt, stand das gesamte Parlament geschlossen hinter der Entscheidung, die Unabhängigkeit zu proklamieren. Die Sozialdemokraten waren lediglich mit der schnellen Verfahrensweise unzufrieden. Die neue sowjetrussische Regierung erkannte Finnlands Unabhängigkeit am 31. Dezember 1917 an. Diesem Beispiel folgte daraufhin auch ein Großteil der europäischen Länder. In Konsequenz auf die Erlangung der Unabhängigkeit kam es zur Verfassungskrise, die das Land in einen Bürgerkrieg stürzte, der vom 27. Januar bis zum 5. Mai 1918 anhielt. Die meisten demokratischen Staaten erkannten Finnlands Unabhängigkeit nach den ersten Reichstagswahlen 1919 an. (Danke wikipedia)

FinnWars ist eine Mod, die die Geschichte vom 2.Weltkrieg in Finnland gegen Russland erzählt.
Es war mal einer der aktivsten Battlefield 1942 Mods. Es kamen manchmal sogar mehr als 30 Spieler abends bis nachts auf den Server. Wir kennen noch die Zeiten , als der "FinnWars Mediatraffic Server" schon ab 17 Uhr gespielt wurde.
Also zu einer Zeit, wo die meisten in Finnland Feierabend haben oder aus der Schule kommen.

Heute Präsentieren wir euch ein 8 Punkte Tutorial, welches die Bedienung eures Gamespy Browser vereinfachen soll. Manchmal stellen sich einen die Fragen: Wie wählt man eine Mod aus? Wie lässt man sich seine Lieblingsmod Forgotten Hope (FH) in seinem Gamespy Server anzeigen, inklusive Server dafür? Fragen über Fragen.

1.) Wenn ihr in eurem Gamespy Browser seid, zeigt euch die Anzeige in der Liste alle verfügbaren Server an, egal welche Mod man installiert hat oder nicht. Hat man eine Mod nicht installiert erscheint ein Fragezeichen (?). Über die Filterfunktion des Browsers kannst du dir aber auch bestimmte Mod Server anzeigen lassen (siehe unten im Bild), zum Beispiel für Forgotten Hope (FH) in silberner Schrift. Der Clou ist, gleichzeitig werden die Server von Forgotten Hope Secret Weapons (FHSW) in blauer Schrift und die von der Forgotten Honor Tournement Mod (FHT) angezeigt. Auf der linken Seite seht ihr die verschiedenen Server und Mods, absteigend der Besucherzahlen, auf der rechten Seite könnt ihr nochmal verfeinert suchen und zum Beispiel auswählen, dass euch keine leeren Server angezeigt werden oder Server nur ohne Passwort. Wenn ihr Favouriten Server hinzugefügt habt, könnt ihr euch alle Server unter Favouriten Server anzeigen lassen:

2.) Wie findet ihr euren Lieblingsserver oder Lieblingsmod? Ohne gleich die ganze Liste mit den Servern durchsuchen zu müssen? Klickt dazu rechts auf den Pfeil der nach unten zeigt, wir haben dazu als Beispiel die Mod DC Final genommen. Im Browser mittig eingekreist seht ihr nun alle Server, die es für die Mod DC Final zur Zeit Online gibt.

3.) Hier rechts oben eingekreist stehen alle Mods drin, die ihr installiert habt. 5.) Wenn ihr zum Beispiel eine Forgotten Hope Map euch geladen habt und entpackt, dann muss diese in diesen Pfad abgelegt werden, um die Map dann auch spielen zu können: C:/Program Files (x86)/EA GAMES/Battlefield 1942/Mods/FH/Archives/bf1942/levels das Bild darunter gibt euch eine Hilfestellung:




6.) Wenn ihr einen Mod favouriten habt, aber keine Desktop Verknüpfung angelegt habt, um darüber ins Spiel zu gelagen. Dann könnt ihr hier auswählen welche Menüführung ihr bevorzugt. Denn manch einer mag den Gitarren Sound von der Eve of Destruction Mod und ein anderer den Tropeten Sound von Forgotten Hope:



7.) Sollte es mal keine Server für eure Lieblingsmod geben, zum Beispiel Battlefield 1918 oder ihr wollt eine Mod testen? Dann könnt ihr ein eigenes Spiel (Server) erstellen. Ihr könnt rechts oben im Kreis zwischen verschiedenen Spielmodi wählen z.B. Ziel, Team-Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, COOP, Eroberung. Beachtet dabei bitte, dass nicht jede Mod alle Spielmodi unterstützt, dies macht sich dann inform eines absturzes zum Desktop bemerkbar. In der mitte stehen die Maps, die ihr rüber klicken könnt. Der Clou ist ihr könnt eure Lieblingsmaps aussuchen und dann später eure vorausgewählten Maps im Spiel Voten. Leider sieht man den eigenen Server aber nicht offiziell im Gamespy Browser und Freunde können leider auch nicht von außen dazu kommen.



8.) Um einen Screenshot von eurem Desktop oder Webseite zu machen, drückt ihr die "Druck" Taste. Danach öffnet ihr dann euer Paint und dann strg+v.
Zu guter Letzt taucht euer Screenshot in eurem Bilder Programm Paint auf. Dann müsst ihr es einfach nur noch ins richtige Format umwandeln und fertig ist euer Screenshot.


Wie erstelle ich eine Desktop Verknüpfung zu meiner Mod?
rechtsklick - Eigenschaften - (Abschnitt/Spalte) Verknüpfung: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +game fh
Ausführen In (bitte nicht verändern): "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942"

What is a campaign?


A campaign is a series of connected battles where we recreate the timeline of the war. Here at Forgotten Honor it also means teamplay and organized gameplay. Campaigns take about 8-10 weeks and every Saturday we will have one 4-hour battle. All battles are counted towards the final score which determines the army that won the overall campaign.


How does it all work? Simple! In the beginning of every week our campaign management announces which map will be played that Saturday. Headquarters and officers of each army are responsible for creating plans and strategies which will be used for that map, as well as awarding medals and promotions for last week's battle.


Every army has a training server to use during the week for scouting and practice, as well as their own Teamspeak channels and locked sub-forums (we call them barracks) for communication and entertainment. Everyone can participate in all weekly activities and events as much as they want!

Battlefield 1918 is a total conversion modification for the highly acclaimed Battlefield 1942. Taking place during the First World War, Battlefield 1918 offers a unique experience in trench, tank, naval, and aerial warfare. For all Battlegroup42 fans we can report the achievement of a significant milestone, and this time it hasn't got anything to do with models, coding or maps. It's about another project to which some of us can spend more dedication now. After all, RC2 has been around for quite some time now, and proved to be less faulty than its predecessor, which greatly reduces the time and effort it takes to iron out remaining bugs. So what are we talking about ? Of our BattleGroup42 Wiki of course ! For some time there have been requests from the players but also the developers themselves, to clearly list and display the contents of the BattleGroup42 Mod. There had been some attempts to do that in the past, but all of them failed regarding the enormous amount of maps and equipment. For over one year, our team member Qbicle, aka "Q", was working on a Wiki of the mod, and in early February he reported the unbelievable amount of 500 entries. But the Wiki is far from being finished, since it doesn't include all of the vehicles and planes just yet, and still lacks all of the stationary weapons and small firearms.
But 500 is a nice, round figure and a perfect occasion to pay it its well deserved attention. The Wiki not only includes information and pictures about the content, but also installation hints and a FAQ area, in which we gathered answers to the manifold user feedback. And as with all Wikis, it's open for everyone who wants to participate. Be it by correcting and adding text, be it for adding new pictures or suggestions for improvement.

Für alle BattleGroup42-Fans können wir heute das Erreichen eines beachtlichen Meilensteins melden, und diesmal hat diese Neuigkeit nichts mit Modellen, Coding oder Maps zu tun. Es geht um ein anderes Projekt, dem einige von uns sich jetzt intensiver widmen können. Schließlich ist der RC2 Client seit geraumer Zeit draußen und erweist sich als deutlich weniger fehlerhaft wie sein Vorgänger, und es benötigt weniger Zeit und Aufwand, diese auszumerzen.
Wovon also ist die Rede? Von unserem BattleGroup42-Wiki natürlich! Schon länger gab es Wünsche seitens der Spieler aber auch der Entwickler selbst, den Inhalt der BattleGroup42-Mod übersichtlich aufzulisten und darzustellen. Einige Versuche hat es dazu gegeben, die aber alle irgendwann vor der schieren Menge an Karten und Equipment kapituliert haben. Seit über einem Jahr arbeitet unser Team-Member Qbicle, auch bekannt als "Q", an einem Wiki der Mod, und Anfang Februar konnte er die unglaubliche Zahl von 500 Einträgen melden. Dabei sind bislang noch längst nicht alle Fahr- und Flugzeuge der Mod gelistet, und noch keine der stationären Waffen und der Infanterie-Ausrüstung.

Aber 500, das ist eine schöne runde Zahl und ein toller Anlass, auf dieses Wahnsinnsprojekt aufmerksam zu machen. Es enthält im Übrigen nicht nur Informationen und Abbildungen des Inhalts, sondern auch Installationshinweise und einen FAQ-Bereich, in dem wir Antworten auf das vielfältige User-Feedback zusammengefasst haben. Und wie alle Wiki ist es offen für alle, die darin nicht nur darin stöbern, sondern auch daran mitwirken möchten. Sei es, indem Einträge gegengelesen und ggf. korrigiert und ergänzt werden, sei es, indem neue Bilder hinzugefügt oder Verbesserungsvorschläge gemacht werden. Als Ansprechpartner stehen wir euch dafür natürlich gerne zur Verfügung.

Do you remember? Some time ago we have present you the custom maps "Peliliu", "Westerplatte", "Grodno" from the Mappack 5, created by the -=PFC=- Mapping Crew. Now we have some more map previews or leaks for you. This new maps we want to play weekly at the mappack days online. Our aim it is, we want to exciting and got more people on the Server to play online together. We have enough slots, for all your friends you bring? The maps have her own features what it makes unique.


The first two maps of the series are "Kuban",it will be this year released. You can find the feature moving clouds in all Mappack 5 maps as standard. This map is a tank battle in the woods map. It bets an exciting fight between russians against germans. You have many hide opportunities. Both teams have a uncapable mainbase. The map has CONQUEST Support.



















The second present Map is the "Panzeralarm". This map plays in the russian fields and deal between the tank fight from the germans against russians. The map looks like the famous "Kharkov Outkirts 1943" map. The germans start from her uncapable mainbase and try to fight the comming russian troops for go the way to moscow. Both teams have tanks and Artillery fire. The russians have also an uncapable base. As result you have an intensive fight till the end. Watch out! This map has some of wholes what could be stop your attacking tank. Make yourself experience and play it. You have the Commander mode for example. Be a Commander in your team? Everywhere on the map position you want, you can drop the Commander station with your personal officer kit? And there is a kit to drop some different vehicle/tanks. You can pilot drones and shoot aims on the floor or drop ammo boxes. It's possible to drop AA Guns, MG settings, rocket settings or requesting dirty Bombs or A-Bombs and you can drop. As soldier you can drop ammo or medic kits. You can call artillery fire with you binoculars.

In the last time we had missing the massive action on the Silent Heroes Server on the Tuesday evenings at 8pm CET. Thats why it comes the idea from the dev and creator of the Silent Heroes Mod "Zarkow" to start a public RAGNARÖK (Armageddon) event. And there we were go! At 9:15pm we have peak the 40 Players and we stay a couple of maps on this visit level. It was a fantastic event, we had start at 7 pm CET on the "SH Wake" map and play till 02 am CET in the morning. We finished this great event on the legendary and weekly played map "Ingenmansland". The people had use Mumble on this event. Specially on this event was, you could seen that event live on the Twitch channel. Thanks to the special guests: mistamontiel, Barbarossa, Reegad, christopher, taxidef and to all guys, which successfull this event on the Chips Silent Heroes Server! We will hope thats not the end of this great scandinavia community in BF 1942.

Nachruf: Silent Heroes wird gewöhnlich Dienstags ab 20 Uhr auf dem Chips Server gespielt. Leider hat die Teilnehmerzahl in den letzten Jahren abgenommen. Aber am Samstag, den 23,4 ab 19 Uhr - 02 Uhr nachts gab es einen Lichtblick, darüber haben wir am 11.4.2016 hier im HG - Blog berichtet. Damals hätten wir nicht gedacht, dass 40 Leute auf den Server kommen. Aber ja, doch! Am Samstag Abend waren wir 40 Spieler auf dem Server und alle die, die früher an dem Dienstag Event Teilgenommen haben, waren anwesend. Wir hoffen es bleiben wieder ein paar Spieler hängen, sodass das Dienstags Event wieder mehr an Bedeutung unter den Spielern gewinnt..

Currently BF1942 DRKEdition includes the entire standalone Battlefield 1942 game, as well as Mumble support provided through a launcher, and an additional Drakeling Labs community made mod inspired after the Project Reality standalone game. This mod contains 83 Maps in Conquest Mode. Some currently maps you know from the Battlefield 1942 specially Mappack, X-Pack 1 (road to Rome) and X-Pack 2 (Secret Weapons). You have no mini map anymore, you can only watch the huge map via the (m) Button. The view is only in your Vehicle view. And the weapons you have the watch from the iron sight.
We intend to expand our version of this game with ongoing content, advanced features, and general support. We think it's a very good project, the most advantage would be have the BF1942 Online league. You have some standard vehicles there and not the big selection of the weapons like in the Battlegroup42 or FH/FHSW Mod, but you have a good new mod in the Community family, which is only developed a couple of month at the moment and it gives you a lot of hopes for the future. And if you support it, the party goes going on. After the years of development all the mods starting small and getting step by step huge, powered by the support of the fans. You'll see it by the huge Projects like Battlegroup42, Forgotten Hope, FHSW, Battlefield 1918, Eve of Destruction, SuperDC or Galactic Conquest for example.
