Leute ihr kommt vom Thema ab ! Es geht darum ob die Geschichte von Bloodsport und dieFigur Frank Dux erfunden oder real sind . Wer was dazu weiss und was schreiben möchtemöge es bitte tun alle anderen sollen für chuck norris und co einen anderen Thread aufmachen .

"In May of 1988, John Johnsonof the Los Angeles Times ran an expose of Frank Dux and his numerous lies. He showed onceand for all that Dux has never been in any international "Kumite", or any tournament atall, for that matter. His trophy, which he had supposedly won in the Bahamas, had beenmanufactured in North Hollywood by the W.R. Moody Co. This is not far from Dux's hometown of Woodland Hills. Dux also claimed that these supposed secret fights had beenhosted by an organization called the "International Fighting Arts Association", a groupwhich reporter Johnson said led only back to Dux himself! The most
damning thing aboutDux though, even if one were to overlook his lies about having a secret ninja teachernamed Senzo Tanaka (Tanaka, like in James Bond films--no evidence of such a person in theUS or Japan has ever been uncovered), rescued boatloads of orphans, or set any kind ofmartial arts speed record (he didn't), is the fact that Dux has lied about his militarycareer.

Frank Dux fabricated phony newspaper articles, one from the WashingtonStar, which painted him as some sort of military hero. When Johnson checked with thearchives of the 'Star, they told him no such article existed--another bold fake! In Fact,Dux's records show he never even left the Continental US, and in the words of Johnson,"His only known war injury occurred when he fell off a truck he was painting in the motorpool"(1988,4). Johnson also writes that; "His military medical file. . .said that on Jan.22, 1978, he was referred for
psychiatric evaluation for expressing "flighty anddisconnected ideas." Though as a member of the reserves, which meant he was on activeduty only a short time, he reportedly insisted that he was working for an intelligenceagency." (1988:2)

Dux also made the blunder of mixing up Army and Marine awards onhis uniform, ~none~ of which were legitimately his. He even claimed to have been secretlyawarded the Congressional Medal of Honor by Congress! Now, if you think hundreds ofmembers of congress can keep any sort of secret, you're really crazy! But Dux is somehowconvinced people will buy his lies. He doesn't realize, or denies to himself that histall tales hurt real veterans, those who actually paid the price for our nation while hewas a youngster fantasizing about playing spy games.

Dux's Book, "The Secret Man"is also completely contrived. Soldier of Fortune did an expose on this fictional work ofhis, and debunked his bogus military claims once and for all. The August 1996 issueincluded a review called "Full Mental Jacket". The title of the article alone should letyou know what real military men think of his stories. SOF mentioned this loser again inthe Nov. 1998 issue in an article by Larry Bailey entitled "Stolen Valor: Profiles of aPhony-Hunter". Dux is shown wearing his incorrectly displayed and mixed Army and MarineMedals! The book "Stolen Valor" by B.G. Burkett is over 700 pages long, and is devoted tounmasking military fakes--he devotes 4 pages to Dux's fakery, debunking his hollow claimsonce and for all."

Blödsinn. Ich lerne undlehre selbst Wing Tsun (NICHT bei der EWTO!!!) und wenn man die WT Prinzipien konsequentanwendet ist WT eine Kampfkunst die in einem realen Straßenkampf auf dieschnellstmögliche Vernichtung des Gegners ausgelegt ist und sich nicht mit Hebelnaufhält..

Bin über Karate, Mui Thai,Cadena und JKD zum Wing Tsun gekommen und dort hängen gebliebenweil es ein in sich geschlossenes und Praxisnahes System ist das alle Kampfdistanzenabdeckt. Ich war auch vor zwei Wochen mal bei einem Verbands offenem Krav Magda Lehrgang.Die haben genau wie ATK auch gute Techniken aber eben nur aus anderen Kampfsystemenzusammengetragen und ohne ein in sich schlüssiges Konzept das sich in allenKampfdistanzen wiederspiegelt wie es bei in sich geschlossenen Systemen der Fallist.
Aber ein Kampfsystem ist eben immer nur so gut wie derKämpfer.

Ps: Frank Dux ist eine reale Person. Der Film ist aber Trotzdemkein Tatsachenbericht und birgt viel künstlerische Freiheit. Das Kumite wurde von denTriaden veranstaltet die ein hohes Preisgeld zur Verfügung stellten und dafür aber denGewinn an den Wetten bekamen. Das Kumite ist ein Vorläufer des Vale Tudo dieabgeschwächte Form ist das K1.
