Der Prozess Oscar Pistorius und der Tod von Reeva Steenkamp

The other aspect of Pistorius' nature his teammates found bewildering was his penchant for talking about himself in the third person.das ist den Psychologen wohl entgangen...
“He would say ‘Oscar had a bad night that night,’ and it was almost as if he was trying to distance himself from what he had done. Now he must face the truth.”

Another gem from the article posted earlier:Es geht um denselben Artikel von dir.
"There were other reports that during Pistorius' days on tour other runners did not want to room with him and that he sent vile text messages to male and female journalists."
No doubt we will hear more about these "vile text messages" in due course.

Mmm...here’s a thought regarding the “reasonable man” vs "reasonable disabled man" debate / defense.
SA gun laws, training and competency tests do NOT make special allowances for one’s “disability” (real or perceived), “anxiety”, “vulnerability” or any other factor (someone please correct me if I’m wrong). Either you know and abide by the strict gun laws or you don’t. There is no special dispensation for mitigating factors.
Taking the firearms competency exam, OP once again proved that he wanted to be treated EXACTLY the same as everyone else.
Fast forward to 2.14.13 and suddenly, for the first time in his life, he doesn’t.
He wants you to forget that a 9mm Parabellum is a great equalizer, no matter who holds it. Even in his version, he clearly held every conceivable superior advantage, not the least of which the “intruder” was (inexplicably) hiding, trapped in the toilet. As the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility. OP chucked all legal and moral responsibility that night by conveniently howling “disability”, “vulnerability”, “terror”, “anxiety” - something he had never before done in his entire life.
He and his defense team would have fared much better had he kept his mouth shut and never brought up disability-related “vulnerability”. He should have stuck to his first story like a man - mistaken self-defense. But, of course, being the murderous, sniveling jacked-up weasel he is, he couldn’t do that. He was forced to come up with a reason - ANY reason - to shoot through that door ... enter vague, nondescript “sounds” and “noises”. His own lies compelled him to tell even MORE lies, present even MORE bogus defenses. Is it any wonder his convoluted testimony, his entire defense is a Rubik's Cube on LSD?
SA gun laws didn’t exempt OP at any point - why should SA criminal courts?
He was more than able in killing a defenseless, terrified woman - he is more than able to suffer the consequences.
In my world, if you've got the balls to shoot four Black Talons through a closed, locked door (Reeva or "intruder") - under virtually NO threat or attack - you deserve whatever the F is coming your way.

"The lawyers can talk, theorize or suggest on the evidence and testimony presented but in the end it comes down to this for me. If I am in a dark room with my lover on Valentines Day and I hear a sound I will ask my lover, "did you hear that?" (since Pistorius, through testimony, now confirms the now deceased was awake). Oscar Pistorius didn't do that. Getting no response I might nudge or reach over to see if my lover is there before grabbing a gun, hobbling on stumps and blasting away.
A physical disability is not an excuse for abandoning common sense. Oscar Pistorius managed to become a successful and wealthy athlete so he has common sense. He's personally challenged the idea of disability by lobbying to be included in the Olympics.
A thorough psychiatric exam proves that he was not suffering from any mental illness that impaired his judgement due to his disability. So that leaves us with this...how is it rational or legal to use deadly force when there was no apparent threat as the supposed intruder was locked in a toilet cubicle and OP had a gun and a route out of his bedroom? He seemed to move around quite effectively on his stumps. He could have told the victim to exit the bedroom and followed. If there had been an intruder who exited the cubicle THEY would have been at a disadvantage, not OP. OP had guns training. Nothing in his guns training ever told him this was the right course.
The fact that he had no idea his victim was in the toilet cubicle is beyond comprehension. The first time a bullet struck her would have rendered a cry from her.
What really stands out for me is the fact that his victim locked herself in the toilet cubicle with her mobile phone. Who goes to the bathroom WITH THEIR MOBILE PHONE at that hour and LOCKS the door? The only person who does that is someone under attack. Getting back to the simple and obvious, Oscar Pistorius' victim was under attack. If the judge finds any other conclusion then it's a travesty of justice."

[1] During the early morning hours of 14 February 2013, I woke up, went onto the balcony to bring the fan in and closed the sliding doors, the blinds and the curtains.
[2] With the benefit of hindsight I believe that Reeva went to the toilet when I went out on the balcony to bring the fan in.
So it wasn't just a single slip with the word 'onto' - it's there a second time as 'out on the'...
